welp...turns out that i couldn't wait for the Jardine...i may go ahead and get one down the line but i just went to Auto Zone and bought a 2" extension...(fits so good against the pipe)...then behind that, a 2 1/8" extension (drilled out 2 holes and shoved bolts through to the stock mounting plate on the 2 1/8 section...behind that, i put a 29.00 canister muffler that measures about 6" in length...all 3 sections are shiny chrome...tight as a drum against the bike...looks great and sounds wonderful...(bass tones much deeper and LOUDER than stock)...the total length takes it back to the middle of the rear wheel..no high speed driving yet but i will try that tomorrow...i guess i spent close to $40 on this experiment
